President Kennedy Post 16 believes that there should be ‘no barriers’ to the fulfilment of students’ aspirations. Student personal development is as important as academic qualifications in equipping students with the skills necessary for progression to Higher Education or employment. Our Post 16 PASSport Programme within Post 16 is a compulsory element of every student’s ‘Study Programme’ and has been developed to not only equip students with the leadership skills to enhance student employability but to raise the profile of Post 16 students within the school and the wider community so that students may become well rounded, confident and purposeful individuals. The PASSport is centred on the four strands; Personal, Academic, Skills, and Service.
Students can select from a range of courses and opportunities including the highly regarded Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Peer Mentoring, Sports Leaders qualifications delivered in partnership with Coventry City FC ‘Sky Blues in the Community’, Chartered Institute of IT ‘European Computer Driving License’, President Kennedy Subject Ambassador Programme or School Council Leadership opportunities and charity fundraising.
