President Kennedy School is an academy and the Academy Trust of the School is the admission authority. It participates in the local authority co-ordinated scheme for In-Year and Year 7 admissions.

If your child has not been offered a place at President Kennedy School you have the right of appeal against the decision. Application process for Post 16
Applications can be completed on the application form. Please refer to the Post 16 area of the website for the application form: Post 16
Enquiries can be sent to the school using the e-mail address email@example.com.
This will result in correspondence being sent out to prospective students in the form of an electronic version of the Post 16 Select Prospectus and application form.

Once an application has been received, references and predicted grades are requested from the current school. On receipt of this information, contact will be made with the applicant to discuss suitability for courses applied for.
Priority interviews are conducted with applicants currently on roll from schools within The Futures Trust. Offers are made based on the entry requirements for the pathways applied for by applicants. Offer letters are then sent out to these candidates.
Where there is availability on courses, interviews are carried out for external applicants. This is conducted by one of the Leadership team members in Post 16, outside school hours. During the interview process, applicants have the opportunity to have a tour of the school. Offers are made based on the entry requirements for the pathways applied for by applicants in addition to the availability of places on the chosen course. Offer letters are then sent out to these candidates. Should the chosen courses be full, an alternative will be offered.
Final decisions regarding allocations of places on courses is made on GCSE results day. Advice and guidance is provided to all students in this process.
