Jasmine Bromfield, Year 13 student at President Kennedy School auditioned out of thousands to gain a place in the production of WEST SIDE STORY at The Birmingham Hippodrome.
The theatre's revival of 'West Side Story' was a centrepiece of the 120th birthday celebrations this summer, creating their first home-grown youth production for the main stage.

This fresh and dynamic re-imagining of one of the most iconic musicals of all time, brought together an incredible cast of young and emerging performers from across the region who were selected from over 1,000 that applied. They worked with a professional, creative team, to bring this timeless story to life.
Watching Jasmine shine on stage was truly wonderful. She gave an outstanding performance surrounded by a cast of talented performers. We are extremely proud of Jasmine's achievements and excited for her future.

  • Welcome Year 7!

    Published 16/09/19

I am delighted to say that Year 7 have made an incredibly impressive start in The Bridge. They have demonstrated great resilience and maturity which is a wonderful start to the fantastic year ahead.

On the first day, the students had a tour of the school and had their first secondary school photo taken, which parents can purchase online. https://schools.lafayettephotography.com

I am so proud to see our Year 7s wear their uniform with such pride. We have already identified some incredible rugby players who will be working with Mr Garlick to prepare for competitions in the city, and Mrs Arnett was very impressed by our up and coming thespians who will be performing 'Othello' in November. I am very excited about what this term will bring.

Congratulations to all of Year 7 students who have made a truly positive and successful start to their time at President Kennedy School.

Director of The Bridge, Mrs Alexander-Weller
