Squad Success at Schools Swimming Gala

Congratulations to the President Kennedy School year 7 and 8 swimming squad who won 3 GOLD, 3 SILVER and 10 BRONZE medals at the Coventry Schools gala on 5th March.

The President Kennedy squad produced some excellent team and individual performances. In the team competitions, our year 7 boys and girls squads finished 3rd overall, we finished 3rd in the year 8 boys competition, the year 8 girls team finished 5th overall.

We won 3 GOLD medal performances which included the Year 7 boys in the team freestyle relay, Kiran Gill in the Year 7 girls breastroke and Reece Hendrickson in the Year 7 boys front crawl. We also secured 3 SILVER medal performances which included the Year 8 boys’ freestyle relay, Year 7 girls Medley relay, and Jai Ghatore in the year 8 boys’ front crawl. We earned 10 Bronze medals in the Year 7 girls and Year 7 and 8 boys distance relay, year 7 and 8 boys medley relay, year 7 girls in the freestyle relay, Celin de Man in the year 7 girls back crawl, Kim Pfahler in the year 7 girls front crawl, Jack Castano in the year 7 boys breastroke and Matthew Tilt in the year 8 boys breastroke.

Their outstanding performances at the gala earned Jai Ghatore, Kiran Gill and Reece Hendrickson an invitation to join Celine de Man at the City of Coventry Elite Training Squad.

Congratulations and well done to all our year 7 and 8 swimming squad. All the training and hard work are paying off!
