Celebrating Students' Success - 2011 Alumni Awards

A formal celebration of outstanding examination success and achievement at our 2011 Alumni Awards.

Students and staff gathered together on the evening of 14th December to celebrate our outstanding examination results this year. Many students, who took A levels this year, travelled back from their Universities to be with us and it was wonderful to see them. They were joined by students who took their GCSE examinations, many of whom are now studying in President Kennedy School's Post 16. Students were formally dressed and collected their examination certificates on stage to the "Chariots of Fire" theme.

Mr Thomas, Headteacher was joined by Ian Dunn, Pro Vice Chancellor of Coventry University, the evening's guest speaker. Themes included belonging and aspiration, having the courage to aim high and enjoy success.

Special awards were given to Farai Kanengoni (Outstanding Contribution), Pravdeep Rai (Outstanding Attainment), Hardeep Gahir (Sciences Award), Laura Chatland (Humanities Award), Richard Flindell (Arts Award), Kumal Lehal (Sciences Award), Abdullah Noori (Outstanding Attainment), Sharon Garcha (Humanities Award), Garinder Kaur (Arts Award), Mollie Paling (Outstanding Contribution) and Hayden Ridley (Outstanding Achievement).

There was a truly wonderful atmosphere at the evening. The President Kennedy School family gathered together at Christmastime. We congratulate these students and look forward to following their fortunes in the future.
