U13 Girls Team Make Us Proud!

On Monday 12th January, President Kennedy School’s U13 girls football team proudly represented Coventry in the regional finals of the football league trophy in Shrewsbury. Placed in group B, our girls put in fine performances beating Oxford 3-0, Wolves 9-1, and Walsall 6-2, before losing to Tranmere 3-2. This performance meant that President Kennedy School had won their group and went through to play the runners up of group A, Shrewsbury.

Our girls dominated the game against Shrewsbury and booked their place in the final with a 6-2 victory; they would now progress to play unbeaten Crewe.

President Kennedy School team showed great resilience coming from behind 3 times to level the game at 3-3, before a goal from Crewe in the last 20 seconds broke our hearts to seal the victory.

Well done to all our talented girls in the team for a brilliant performance playing other top teams from across the region; an excellent effort!
