Enterprising Students Impress at Bromford

Recently, Year 8 students spent the day at Bromford, a social enterprise company building and renting out houses not for a profit. Working with professionals from business, students formed teams and presented at a “recruitment “ event to a Dragons Den style panel.

Students were challenged to become event planners and plan an award ceremony for the employees at Bromford.  "At the end we had to present our event ideas to the volunteers there and my team won with our fun festival idea. Overall we had a great day and I would love to maybe work somewhere like Bromford in the future.”  said Nicola, Year 8 student

Students were also taken on a tour of the offices and saw all kinds of things from the ‘Xbox one’ to the ‘Google glass’.

Sarah Marlow, Senior Associate of Enabling Enterprise added “Your students were a great credit to their school.  The volunteers were amazed by their confidence and progression with the challenge skills and I know the students enjoyed the aspirational experience of giving professional final pitches. We wish them great success at school.”
