Year 7 Students Taste University Life

Whilst at The Bridge, every year 7 student gets at least one chance to visit and explore life at one of the UK's leading universities.

On Tuesday 21st October, two year 7 tutor groups spent an inspiring day at Bristol University. After a long journey, they were met by one of the universities Admissions staff who had organised the visit. Students were split into groups. Each group was allocated a student ambassador who took their group on a tour of the campus.

One of our students commented, "it's a beautiful university with lots of old buildings as well as some new ones. We did some team building activities and learned a lot about life as a student at Bristol before we went to the cafe for a lovely lunch. After lunch, we were taken to one of the science lecture halls where  we were treated to some incredible experiments involving liquid nitrogen."

It was a memorable day and many of our students returned to school determined to work hard and hopefully go to Bristol or a similar university after they finish school.
