Thomas Bounces His Way to Britain’s No 3!

Following his outstanding first place at Regional Finals, Thomas Baker, President Kennedy School’s  Year 7 trampolining and gymnastic talent, competed in the U13 National Trampolining Championships last weekend In Bristol.  The competition was extremely tough, competing against  9 other regional champions, but Thomas held his nerve and secured an amazing third place on the podium.

Thomas, who has only been competing in trampolining competitions for two years said “I do feel very proud. I was nervous and didn’t do well in the warm ups, but was much better when the competition got going”. Thomas now has his sight sets on future competitions and maybe a place in the National Squad one day.

Mr Sinclair, head of Boys P.E. said “In a very special year for sport in Britain, it is inspiring to see real talent growing before our eyes here at President Kennedy School. We are all extremely proud of Thomas, and plan to give him, and all our talented students, the support they need to reach their potential in the future.”
