Basketball Team Remain Unbeaten

Our Key Stage 3 basketball team have played matches all season and remain unbeaten across the city.

The basketball squad trains every Friday after school with Rob Bromfield former President Kennedy School student and ex Coventry Crusaders and England men’s basketball coach. Their most recent match was played against a Westwood School where then won 14 : 10. This victory was all the more impressive as the opposition was largely made up of year 8 girls.

The team is largely made up of year 7 students and they have beaten many school including  Barr’s Hill and Bluecoat.

Assistant Headteacher Miss Rooke commented “Basketball is now so popular here in school that we have started our own internal league. We are now recruiting year 10 and 11 girls for a special KS4 team.”
