Year 8 and Post 16 Enter The Dragon's Den

Nearly 60 Year 8 students have taken part in a Dragon’s Den event aimed at developing their Enterprise skills. The event was sponsored by Coventry Chamber of Commerce and part funded by the school and PaYA. Students worked in teams with business mentors and Post 16 business students to develop money spinning ideas. Teams then pitched to the Dragons (local business leaders) who decided which business idea would receive the £400 investment.

The winning team comprised Year 8 students, Lucy Tucker, Jessica Turfrey, Kiratpal Virdee, Ethan Wainwright, Rebecca Westley, and Charlie Greer, assisted by Post 16 student, Imogen Barratt.  They came up with the idea of launching a video book containing original student work which will be sold to raise money for local charity, Zoe’s Place.
