Year 7 Students Visit Cambridge University
The Bridge works in collaboration with Clare College Cambridge to ensure that every year our high attaining year 7 students visit the university to sample life at one of the world’s top universities and what it takes to gain a place there.
This year's visit was a huge success. Aash Sarup, a year 7 student commented “I realized that what everybody says about university isn’t true; I have a great chance going there.” Lachwinder Singh also in year 7 said, “I thought that only geeks went to university, but now I know that ordinary people go there too.”
The day starts with a tour of Clare College Cambridge followed by lunch in one of the university’s dining halls. Our students meet and talk with admissions tutors and current students who are able to give them their unique insight into the Oxbridge experience. Our students also visit the impressive Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and complete a set exercise there.
