Congratulations to our outstanding Year 9 and Year 10 mathematicians, who achieved the highest scores in this year’s Maths Challenge, in their respective year groups. 

Their dedication, problem-solving skills, and determination have earned them this fantastic recognition. 
We are incredibly proud of their achievement and the way they have represented themselves and the school with excellence. 

Well done to all - a brilliant accomplishment and a testament to the power of hard work and perseverance!

Year 7 students were treated to an exciting visit from the 'Material World: Engineering the Future STEM Roadshow' an interactive, high‑energy production designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

The roadshow transformed our school hall into a vibrant theatre of discovery. Delivered by education specialists from 'Hi-Impact' and 'Altru Drama', the show combined live demonstrations, and hands‑on participation to explore the fascinating world of materials and modern engineering.

Students were fully immersed from start to finish. Volunteers joined the presenters on stage, the audience took part in exciting challenges, and the whole room was buzzing with movement and laughter. 

The production made complex scientific ideas easy to understand - and even more importantly, fun! 
Our Bridge students left feeling energised, curious, and eager to learn more about where a future in STEM could take them.
 

This year’s Music Showcase was a fantastic celebration of our students’ dedication, creativity, and musical growth. Many performers stepped onto the stage for the very first time, demonstrating real bravery, teamwork, and passion. 

Their performances - spanning a wide range of instruments, styles, and ensembles filled the hall with talent, energy, and confidence.

Each act brought something unique, showcasing not only technical skill but also genuine musical expression. Whether it was a well rehearsed group piece or a soloist stepping boldly into the spotlight, every student shared their commitment and love of music. 

The warm, uplifting atmosphere in the hall was a true reflection of the hard work students have put into their rehearsals this term.

The evening was expertly hosted by Head Student, Fares, whose engaging and expressive introductions added a personal touch to the event. 

A huge “Thank You” goes to all our brilliant performers, the technical team, and everyone behind the scenes who helped bring the showcase to life.
Events like these highlight the power of music within our school community – bringing people together and giving students a platform to shine. Well done to all performers for an inspiring and memorable evening!

On Wednesday 21st January 2026, thirty Year 11 students enjoyed a prestigious visit to the University of Cambridge for a series of GCSE-focused lectures and seminars. 

They attended a talk by Dr Fred Parker on the theme of fear in Macbeth, took part in an unseen poetry seminar with a PhD student, and explored the roots of the English language in an Old English lecture with Professor Richard Dance. 
The day ended with a very wet and windy tour of the campus, including Clare College and the historic Trinity building. Staff at the university were hugely impressed by the students’ confidence, oracy, and the PRIDE they demonstrated throughout. 

We look forward to returning soon, so please keep an eye out for future opportunities.

Thanks to Earlsdon Care Lodge for having our students to spread some Christmas joy.

Chloe in Year 11, Eden in Year 10, Ava and Sayla in Year 7 were greeted by the staff and the residents, who were so pleased to meet them.

The girls served cold drinks and mince pies to the residents and sang Christmas songs, engaging the residents in singing and dancing. Everyone had lots of fun!

The care home staff thanked the girls for coming and spending time with the residents who were really grateful.

The Tempest cast in The Bridge had a fabulous day at The Belgrade Theatre as part of The Shakespeare Schools Festival, completing their technical and dress rehearsal. This was a great opportunity for them to see how a professional theatre works, and they returned for their final performance on the same night. 

It was an amazing experience for all and  Mikey, the host of the evening said, "The opening scene of The Tempest was a powerful representation of the storm."

Mrs Arnett said, "I am very proud of all the students. They really showed great team work on the performance day – especially when a cast member was ill. Special shout-out to Lara, who without hesitation stepped in as understudy."
