Autumn Term Arrangements – September 2024

The autumn term begins on Wednesday 4th September.  School will start at the following times for respective year groups:

  • 8.40am for new Year 7s who will be greeted in front of reception and will line up behind the green gates.
  • 8.40am for Year 10 and Year 11 students, who should go to their registration room.
  • 9.00am for Year 12 who should go to registration in the 6th form building.
  • 9.30am for Years 8, 9 and 13 who should go to registration.

On the first day, all students will spend time with their tutor in the morning, before commencing their normal lessons Period 3. This will allow students a calm and reassuring start after the six-week holiday, so they feel prepared for the rest of the term.

After the first day, every year group will start school at the normal time of 8.40am. Students need to leave home in time to accommodate bus routes and traffic, allowing them to start the day calmly with their tutor. School starts at 8.40am and registration starts at 8.45am.

Please can I emphasise the importance of students wearing the correct school uniform and having the right equipment from the start of term. This allows for every child to be ready for their learning each day. (Pen, pencil, ruler, rubber- scientific calculator, reading book, dictionary/thesaurus.

Please find attached the updated Uniform Regulations which are effective from September 2024.

Please can I reinforce the expectations of shoes, not trainers, boots or canvas shoes. Furthermore, please can you ensure that skirt length requirements are adhered to. If you have any problems finding the correct length of skirt then trousers are an alternative option. Also, please can we ensure that any acrylic nails or nail varnish are removed ready for Wednesday 4th September. This is to support our health and safety regulations. If you have any issues with providing any of the above, then please do contact your new College Director, to see if we are able to help and support you:
