New School Build

• Coventry City Council has a statutory responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient school places available for every child.

President Kennedy School currently provides education for students aged 11–18 and is expected to experience a steady increase in pupil numbers.

• From September 2027, additional capacity will be required to accommodate this growth, with projections indicating an increase of approximately 150 students over the next five years.

To address this need, the design team has worked in close collaboration with both the school, The Futures Trust and Coventry City Council to develop a strategy that
effectively meets these future requirements.

• This anticipated expansion will require the provision of new teaching spaces, alongside additional supporting facilities including hall and dining spaces, learning support areas, dining facilities, and staff accommodation.
