It's Official, We're OUTSTANDING!
President Kennedy School has been awarded the top ‘outstanding’ rating in every area by Ofsted inspectors. The judgement, the best that Ofsted can bestow upon any school, is currently only awarded to only 13% of schools across the country.
President Kennedy School was visited by Ofsted Inspectors, in mid July.
The report contains many pleasing comments about President Kennedy School, but the opening remark that, “leaders, staff and governors share a passionate commitment to raise the aspirations and achievement of all the students who attend our school”, is a stunning reflection of our school.
Inspectors found that “students achieve exceptionally well and above national averages by the end of Key Stage 4” with “exceptionally good provision in literacy and mathematics”. Student Behaviour was also judged “outstanding”.
The introduction of specialist year group colleges including ‘The Bridge’ was highly praised. Ofsted said the Bridge “helps students to make the transition from primary to secondary school, and where teachers can provide extremely skilled and effective intervention to quickly improve reading, handwriting, spelling and grammar or numeracy skills that might hold students back in other subjects”.
The school’s leaders and senior team were also highly praised by inspectors for driving up standards and providing “clear, firm and inspirational leadership”.
