A’Level Biologists Visit Coventry University

On 5th July all A-Level Biology students visited Coventry University to gain a higher understanding on the topic of gel electrophoresis.

The biologists worked in the specialised lab and carried out an experiment using PCR (Polymerase chain reaction).                                                       They were also given a tour around the School of Life Sciences within the university.

Kiratpal Virdee went on to say:

The experience at Coventry University was very insightful and I gained greater knowledge of the science facilities on offer there.

Overall, this trip was very helpful in allowing students to make a decision on whether they wish to pursue a future in Biomedical Science.
