Consultation: Application to become a Teaching School

President Kennedy School is currently applying to become a Teaching School. This involves creating a Teaching School Alliance amongst schools focused upon improving student outcomes and improving the quality of teaching and learning. The 6 core areas of responsibility include:
1. School-led initial teacher training
2. Continuing professional development
3. Supporting other schools
4. Identifying and developing leadership potential
5. Specialist Leaders in Education - working with schools
6. Research and development
President Kennedy School already undertakes much of this work as a National Support School. By becoming a Teaching School it will secure at least £150,000 funding over the next 3 years. This work is likely to involve school partners within a 30 minute car journey of President Kennedy School.
Should you wish to discuss anything related to President Kennedy School becoming a Teaching School please contact me by telephoning the school on 024 7666 1416.
