Journeying Project 2016

In 2016 the journeying project summer expedition with Dol Y Moch saw a team of 3 Year 10 boys join a group of 7 to complete a gruelling 120 mile route across the county of Northumberland.

The route called the Sandstone Way was new in 2015 and is the longest off road cycling route in the UK.

The boys worked extremely hard and participated in route planning, group leadership, bike maintenance, shopping, cooking and budgeting as well as cycling the route.

The Dol Y Moch staff informed me they were good company, good humoured and extremely cooperative. It was a big challenge with everyone putting in 7-9 hours of biking each day. We are extremely proud of their achievements.
