Year 7 Public Speakers Win District Final!
Having successfully competed in the local area finals of the Rotary Youth Speaks public speaking competition, three year 7 students competed in the District Final on Saturday 12th of March.
Facing tough competition from schools around the area including Rugby, Leamington and Warwick as well as previous winners of the competition, we are delighted to announce that Harry Gilsenan, Mya Birdee and Eesha Gupta won the competition and will therefore represent the area in the regional finals in Wolverhampton.
The team spoke about their topic, ‘Blockbuster Books’ with confidence explaining the positive and negative aspects of film adaptations of novels and, in particular, enjoyed sharing their passion for Harry Potter with the audience.

A parent of one of our winning students commented:
“What a fantastic event – clearly made better by the fact that our team won.
I would like to extend my thanks and congratulations to the President Kennedy team, to the three speakers and particularly so to Miss Dunn who is clearly doing an amazing job in getting the students to such a high standard”.
We are all very proud of the students’ success and conduct throughout the competition so far and wish them the best of luck in the next round in Wolverhampton on the 16th of April. Congratulations Harry, Mya and Eesha!
