Year 11 Student Raise Funds to Pay for Their First Rugby Tour

On Saturday 13th February, the Year 11 Rugby team will embark on their first ever rugby tour to Gloucester. The mini tour will consist of a stadium tour, pitch parade and a master class coaching session at Gloucester RFC. They will then watch premiership match: Gloucester vs Harlequins. The evening will involve ten pin bowling and an overnight stay, before a rugby fixture against Old Richians on the Sunday morning before returning to President Kennedy School.

The pupils have raised over £1200 in sponsorship money by running 75 miles as a team around the running track, which has helped to pay for most of the tour. Thank you to everyone who sponsored myself, Mr Moroney and the students.

I would also like to say a special thank you to the following people who have all contributed in some way to the tour: Miss Rooke, who has bought the pupils new socks; Mr and Mrs Tilt for supplying water bottles and Mr Paterson and his company ‘First Air’ who have supplied the new shorts. The sponsorship and contributions have been invaluable in helping this tour to go ahead.

The new tour kit has been expertly modelled by Year 11 Captain Matthew Tilt. This will hopefully be the first of many President Kennedy rugby tours.
