Year 7's Team Brunel visit Cambridge University

Recently I visited Cambridge University with Team Brunel. It was an amazing opportunity and experience and I learnt how to have a successful career. At Cambridge we had an inspiring talk about our futures and our careers. As a student who has no idea about what I want to do for my future, this has helped to give me an idea about what I think I want to do. After having a discussion, we had a tour of the university and learnt about what life was like living as a student in Cambridge. There were different colleges just like we have our university groups. There was a tour for different parts of those colleges, the library and the hall in which students have their dinner.

Later in the afternoon, we had an amazing lunch provided by the Cambridge staff and a tour of the museum where we learnt about Egypt's past. During our time in the museum, we were split into two groups for the two different activities. For the first half we explored the Egyptian rooms with worksheets to learn more about the Egyptians. Then, for the second half we examined paintings and completed some more activities linked with the paintings. Both groups got a chance to do both activities and the whole of Team Brunel agree that they had an amazing time and this trip was a great experience.

Going to Cambridge, has helped me to become clearer about what I want my future to look like. Now I will make sure that I will take into consideration the choices in my life.
