Students 'Wiggle' their way in front of 25,000 spectators at the Ricoh Arena

On 27th December, 60 students who attend the Godiva Academy of Performing Arts (GAPA) based here at President Kennedy School, performed in front of 25,000 spectators at the Wasps match against Saracens at the Ricoh Arena.

The students had been invited to choreograph a new ‘Wasps Wiggle’ and perform this to the crowd, who were in turn invited to join in. After a brief practice session in the season ticket holder’s enclosure, our students were led onto the pitch at half time and performed the wiggle three times to the appreciative crowd.

Mrs Woollacott, Teacher of Performing Arts and principal of GAPA commented, “It was wonderful that so many students made the effort to turn up during their Christmas break to perform and I would like to thank all those parents who came along too. What a fantastic opportunity for our students to perform something that they created themselves to such a huge audience!”
