Year 7 Perform 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Belgrade Theatre

Last Thursday, 12th November, 26 Year 7 students performed an abridged version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry as part of the Shakespeare Schools’ Festival.

The Shakespeare Schools’ Festival is a charity which aims to inspire young people by giving them the opportunity to perform a classic text in a professional theatre venue. Last week, President Kennedy School students performed as part of the busiest week of the festival with over 12,000 students performing in over 100 performances all over the country.

We are extremely proud of our year 7 students who not only conducted themselves immaculately for the duration of the technical rehearsal, dress rehearsal and final performance in the evening, but also performed with great confidence bringing the tale of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life. Many thanks to all who supported the students throughout the project and those who were able to attend the performance on the night.

Congratulations to the cast of the Shakespeare Schools’ Festival 2015!
