A Magical Parisian Adventure!

Over the Easter break, 37 students from Post 16 and year 11 visited Paris for five days of culture and delight. Students experienced many of Paris’ biggest attractions and monuments, including a river cruise along the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Pompidou modern art gallery, Notre Dame, the Sacré-Cœur and the resting place of Napoleon.

The energetic ones among us climbed the steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to experience a panoramic view of the city against the backdrop of a magnificent sunset. We visited the Place de la Concorde, where King Louis XVI was executed, and crossed the beautiful Alexandre III Bridge. During the evening staff and students sat down and ate together at a traditional French restaurant in the bohemian Artists Square.

High spirits continued throughout the trip and were only increased when we arrived at Euro-Disney on the final day. One member of the group described the experience as “magical”, with staff and students agreeing that Paris 2015 is a trip full of great memories.
