Cambridge University Success
During the last half term, the nine most academically able students in Year 11 were encouraged to apply for a prestigious residential placement at Clare College, Cambridge.
The week will involve seminars and tutorials in subjects that these students want to study in the future, as well as outdoor and adventurous activities and sport. In addition, they will get a real flavour of what life is like staying in halls of residence and experiencing being undergraduate at Cambridge.
I am pleased to announce that Kim Pfahler, Charlie Brown and Amy McCelland have been accepted on the placement and Maryam Qutbuddin and Vikram Dulai are on the reserve list. There were 24 places on offer for all students who applied from the Midlands area – so this is a fantastic achievement.
I am sure you join me in wishing them all the very best for this exciting opportunity.
