The Day we went to the Biggest Book Show on Earth…..                                         The 2017 World Book Day Roadshow

On Tuesday 28th February 2017, the Library Staff - Ms Ranchhod and Ms Lindsey took Year 7 students to the 2017 World Book Day (WBD) Roadshow at the University of Warwick. The event is 1 of only 5 World Book Day Roadshows taking place around the UK this year, giving  pupils a chance to meet not just 1 but 9 authors!

The event was attended by over 1600 pupils from schools all over the region with an all-star authors and illustrators line up including  - Alex T. Smith (Claude books);  Sam & Mark;  Holly Smale (Geek Girl);  Julian Clary and David Roberts (The Bolds series); Nick Mohammed (The Young Magicians) and Olympian turned-author….Jessica Ennis Hill!

At the Road Show, each author had a slot to talk about themselves and their books, which gave us a really good insight their work and life.
